I know. Let's get Carol and Ron to bring everything! (just checking to see if anybody is reading this stuff)

Please read this:
I don't know for sure who is going or not going. Obviously, if you have a campsite reserved, I have you down as going. I would appreciate an email from everybody, without reserved sites, stating one of these 3 options: "Yes, I'm going", "No, I'm not going", "Maybe, I don't know yet"
I would like to clean up the listings below so it is less confusing. PLEASE let me know.
I'll make it easy for you. Just click on my email address here:
Also, send your food selections directly to me.

Matt's giant wind breaker helped a lot.
The group is growing... Welcome New Campers!

Notes about this Trip
A camping trip to a foreign country. NO cell phone service.
Three campgrounds: Riverside, Burley, Dunes.  We're at Riverside.
Over 1000 campsites. We didn't need that many. Spaced out and not well suited for our group.

Actually very nice camping. Great showers. Lots of poison ivy. Too much time to get there and back thru customs. Long drive to the beach from the Riverside Campground, but the big camp store was very close. Good ice cream there.
Very expensive camping for the now-famous mailbox killer.
The raccoons loved Shirley's meatballs.
We had very nice weather. No rain.

Shirley: Captain Crock (Pot) Meat
Kelly: Uncle Ron's Cookies and Aunt Martha's Homemade Bread
Lori: Sloppy Joes and Fruit Dessert

Notes about this Trip
The Chesaning Showboat Park Campground was a complete bust. The ground was too soft from the rain, no tables, no shade and the restrooms were a country mile away. Wayne Newton had his show there but we didn't care because we didn't stay. We moved on down the road to the Just-In-Time Campground and all was well.
Only thirty-something sites. A lot of seasonal campers. Drive-in campers get the sites along the small lake's shoreline.
Nice clean restrooms. Good showers.
The weather was great. The water was warm.
Sarah celebrated her 14th birthday on Saturday. Oh, to be 14 again.

Notes about this Trip
Alan & Diane and Chuck & Lynne arrived one day early on Thursday. Long 4-hour drive to this really great campground.
Cool weather for August. Just a little rain, but mostly sunny.  Too cool to sit on the beach.
There is a great ice cream shoppe in town just a real nice walk from the campground. And we did eat ice cream. Great general store/pharmacy.
Rich and Sheri and children joined us for Saturday dinner.
Tried out the new beanbag game constructed by Matt with cornbags from Diane and Alan. A great game addition.
Two showers inside the restrooms. They were too hot. Keeps you dancing. Better than too cold which, actually, keeps you dancing also.
Andrea and Jim dropped in for Saturday night. An 11-hour stay. She brought a great bean dip.
Chuck and Lynn's friends Sandy and Helen joined our group for the entire weekend.

Notes about this Trip
It was quite cool this weekend. Actually, downright cold at times. It rained continuously all Saturday night. It was very windy with a little rain here and there. In general, crappy weather.
To beat the cold, Matt brought his 60,000 BTU heater, Alan brought his 18,000 BTU heater and a whole lot of firewood. As usual, Monday and Tuesday were better with no rain and a not much wind.
Saturday night was Trick-or-Treat night at the campground (their first one) and the weather was decent for the little beggers. It was great fun with all the decorated sites.
Cingular cell phone service was very good.
Super nice new restrooms. The women's and handicap shower has a heated floor; the men are jealous.
