Commentary

The two restrooms are all located near the beginning of the campground loops and it is a quite a long hike from the far side of the loops. Loops 1 and 2 are much worse than loops 3 and 4. The restrooms are nice and they do have individual unisex showers.
Loops 3 (where we stayed) and loop 4 are hilly and very shady with no grass. Loops 1 and 2 are much flatter, grassy and much more sunny. The whole campground was very quiet and there is mucho space between most of the sites as shown on the map.
McGinnis lake is really a large swampy pond that is not very accessible. South of McGinnis Road, is the day-use area with three lakes and a beach.
Cingular cell phone service was very good on 09-24-04 weekend.

Personal Rating

From Alan: Two thumbs up if your site is closer to the restrooms. Close, less than an hour drive.
